Tony Jaa is quickly becoming one of the top martial arts stars in the game. The 39-year-old Thai actor, who first emerged in the dizzyingOng-bak trilogy, just stole one of the best scenes in the box office monster Furious 7, where he battled Paul Walker in a speeding bus. Now he stars opposite Dolph Lundgren, Ron Perlman, and Michael Jai White as a detective helping bring down human trafficking slimebags in the just-released Skin Trade.
In addition to some ferocious fighting skills — Jaa practices Muay boran martial arts — the action star has a good sense of humor, too. He came into Yahoo Studios and happily accepted our challenge to show us his best takedown moves… on cardboard cut-outs of Brad Pitt, Fabio, Samuel L. Jackson, and Humphrey Bogart.
It’s safe to say you’ve never seen cardboard celebrity stand-ups endure such beatings before. Watch it all go down in the video above — and don’t try these at home. Especially that somersault-kick. Skin Trade is now in select theaters and available on video on demand. Watch the trailer:
